Hi There,

What does the Slovak word 'kóra' mean? I have found it in a weather report and it referred to the quality of the snow surface (if I understand well).

Thanks for your help in advance.

Maybe crust?
The hard top layer of the snow.

Thanks for answering.
In the meantime I asked my slovak teacher and he also described it as the upper layer of the snow that had melted once and than frozen again and so formed an icy 'crust'.
So crust seems to be a good 'solution'.
Thanks again.
